Re: Revised Supers! - Ads & Disads Thread

I think that "Secret ID" should not be listed as a disadvantage, since I feel that the Disads are geared toward what makes it harder to be a superhero than toward what makes it harder to be a normal person.

Hence, Public ID makes it harder to be a superhero, since you can be sued, all your enemies know who you are and who you are related to, etc. Secret ID makes your personal life harder, but it is the standard way to "facilitate" being a superhero in the first place.

Just my take on it.

Cool idea. Definitely something to ponder. I know that in my secret ID as mild mannered soldier, "Heyu Gettovaheer" it is hard to sketch out super suit designs and not drop my rifle...

But then again who said the "normal" side of a SUPER's life was supposed to be easy?

Regads,

We use 1D = Normal, 2D=Trained, 3D=Expert, 4D Master, 5D+ Super which seems to work pretty well.

We also just created a disadvantage called Identity and let the player decide if it is secret or public and explain why it creates disadvantages.

I like your take on the Identity issue. I never realized so many people took umbrage with the way Public ID was handled, I'm curious if it'll be addressed in the revision.

Your verbage for the dice values is similar to the list of descriptions that may make it into the revised edition fyi.

And welcome aboard sir!
