I'll start;

World Class - This advantage allows the player to pick on Aptitude that they can not only have over 3D, but they get to keep ALL the dice they roll when using that Aptitude as they are one of the best in the world at it.

Instead of an advantage, since the aptitude is going to be treated as a power, it should be placed in the power section.

SUPER TALENT

Chose one aptitude. The aptitude is now considered to be a super power. Alll dice may be retained instead of the top three. These can represent superhuman martial artist or characters that can 'dodge' with superhuman reflexes. Unlike aptitudes, a character does not have to specialize when over three dice of ability.

The cost comes out the same for both so that really doesn't matter, hmmm....

But Power Steal and Mimic Power, as written, only affect Powers, not Aptitudes. So should a superhero that's uber great at fighting be able to have their fighting skill swiped the same way you swipe someone's flying or mind reading powers?

Just something to ponder.

Just fyi, I'm not a fan of the Aptitude cap for superheroes. Could do away with it entirely and work Specialities back in as a reroll bonus when performing your specialty and make the 3d cap stick for Normals?

As far as stealing fighting ability... sure, why not. Sort of how Taskmaster learns to fight by watching.

Getting rid of the skill cap is worth considering. I think the benchmarks of 1D - normal, 2D - trained, 3D - expert, 4D - Superhuman, etc. I will leave it to others to discuss the reasons for skill caps.

Secret ID is not listed as a disadvantage, however Public ID is. Was this done on purpose?

I'm not sure I understand the question DP. Secret ID is the opposite of Public ID, so if anything it would be an Advantage.

That being said, I think the default is everyone in Supers! has a Secret ID (which is either their superhero persona or their normal persona, however you want to look at it), thus the need for Public ID to be listed as a Disadvantage.

I certainly subscribe to the idea that Secret ID is a default setting in a superhero setting.

Public ID on the other hand can be a Disad based on the amount of unwanted attention you get. As well as the danger to your friends and family.

With secret ID, you have to go to extra lengths to keep that secret.Including lying to friends and coworkers. Worrying about villians discovering your secret, etc. In that case I would consider Public ID to be easier and more advantageous.

Without explaining exactly why, I want to point out that I have a bit of insight into the public ID thing and it can be a constant hassle, not just from villains, but from fans, people who don't like what you do and people constantly staring at you with that "Do I know them?" look on their face.

Also, the default setting for supers secret IDs are a must.

What does anyone else think?
