Rulebook Format Discussion - House Rules
Join a discussion group and first off start a new thread.... anyway here goes.
One thing I've always had trouble with is with the format of the book. As already displayed by the various threads on this (and other) board Supers! is very good at allowing (requiring?) the development of (impromptu?) house rules.
My questions is to the GM's - How do they remember/record the various house rules they use? Have they ever changed their own rules because of what they've read on 'rpg.net' or 'pen and paper' forums (the two forums I know about that have Supers! threads)?
Does anyone else besides me believe the book would benefit from adding some means to record house rules? And if so, what format do they believe would work best?
Personally I believe that the book needs it, but that there almost needs to be space set aside on each 'rules' page to allow for notes. What are other people's thoughts?

Re: Rulebook Format Discussion - House Rules
Perhaps it could be themed handout on the "universe" your group is playing in, similar to Earth 616, Ultimates, Earth 1/2, etc.

Re: Rulebook Format Discussion - House Rules
I like the idea of a notes section. But that is also easily handled on a 3x5 card or similar stuck into the binding of the book. But I am sure that a blank page at the front or back couldn't hurt.
Also to have house rules based on setting is an excellent idea.
These are some things we can look at. Keep em coming.

Walt

Re: Rulebook Format Discussion - House Rules
I usually have a one or two page write up discussing the house rules I am using. (Alternate uses of CPs, Counter attacks, how to handle Area effect and Split attack, etc)
I hand it out at the beginning of the campaign, but usually they are so easily to use that they are not needed to be referenced in game play after the first session.
