They did such a great job on this. Cover drags you in and the product keeps you there!

Re: TGI Presents: The SUPERVERSE

I'm humbled by your kind words! Thanks to both of you! I owe a great deal to Dustland. His are is not only great, but it enhances my enthusiasm for the characters I'm creating.

Thanks for the purchase, MaxTrevor! Let me know what you think - good and bad. We are currently working on the next release, The Iron Gauntlet - a book of villains that serve as The Freedom Ring's archenemies. Feedback will be helpful in terms of putting out an better product. Due to popular demand, for instance, The Iron Gauntlet will probably include a short scenario or two.

I learned a great deal about formatting from working on the BASH UE version. Eventually, I'll apply that same format to the SUPERS! version and repost it to rpgnow.com. Needless to say, you'll be able to download the revision for free at that point.

All the best,

Dragonfly

Re: TGI Presents: The SUPERVERSE

Howdy folks!

As some of you know, the academic year is usually BRUTAL for me (I'm a teacher), which means that I get very little done in terms of gaming.

That being said, today is the first day of my Thanksgiving vacation, so I took the opportunity to do some prep work for the next installment in TGI's SUPERVERSE line - The Iron Gauntlet.

Things went REALLY well today. First, Rus Boyd's art for the project is all in (except for the cover) and it's BRILLIANT! That alone was enough to get my creative heart pumping. I got more and more jazzed about the project just cutting-and-pasting his work into the WORD template that I've created for these supplements. I then did some layout stuff - color coordinating the stat blocks to match Rus' art, omitting Freedom Ring specific material and otherwise making space for the villains. For the most part, that work is all done. My aim is to have all of the villain stats completed by this weekend.

After that, I'll have to write all the villain backgrounds and descriptions. That's the bulk of the work, actually, and the most daunting aspect of the project, but I tend to crank out text pretty rapidly once I get inspired, (which is exactly what today did for me). The aim is to finish all the writing by December's end, and have the supplement out by the first week of January. It might even be possible to have it all done by Christmas, but I don't want to make that promise just yet.

I'll definitely keep ya'll posted as I go. In the meantime, have a happy Thanksgiving!

All the best,

Dragonfly

Re: TGI Presents: The SUPERVERSE

Hey folks!

Just an update here. My Christmas Break started last Friday, so I'm hard at work on The Iron Gauntlet.

I've got first pass stats for all the characters. (I usually stat them out and then take one or two more passes to calibrate them against each other and the other characters in the universe.)

I've got a complete background for Mammoth (which inspired some additional layers to the Freedom Ringer Thunderbird's history), and I just spent three days grappling with The Sire's background. THAT was a bear, but I knew he would be the hardest one.

I've got Grey Ghoul, Violet Revolution, Iron Maiden and Manite left to go. Grey Ghoul may take me a couple of days, but the other three are less complex in their histories, so they should go pretty quick. I still think I can make my January 1st deadline. I'll keep you posted.

All the best,

Dragonfly

Hey fellas!

Another update:

(I do these because they motivate me to make good on my talk.) :-)

Okay, I finished the Grey Ghoul's background today. That's four down, three to go. Fortunately, the last three characters are the least involved, so they should go quick.

Now that the end of the write-ups and stats is in sight, I have to give some thought to any possible adventures that I might include as part of this offering.

I really want to include something of this sort, but we'll see. I have several publishing projects that will soon be claiming my time: one academic and the other gaming related. As a consequence, I may have to release The Iron Gauntlet sans an adventure. I'll try to at least include a couple of adventure seeds. Again, we'll see.

All the best,

Dragonfly

Can't wait to see how this comes out. I assume Dustland is doing the art again?

Great news! The Freedom Ring is great stuff and this should prove to be even more useful.

Re: TGI Presents: The SUPERVERSE

Hey fellas!

First - yes, Rus is definitely doing the art. I'm just waiting on the final of the cover. He's really outdone himself on this stuff. I can't wait to release it.

There might be a bit of a delay. I got very sick this holiday season and lost a whole week of work. I'm almost done, but I don't want to rush the supplement, so we'll see. I won't make a January 1st deadline, but I might still make it before the month is up.

I'll keep ya'll posted!

All the best,

Dragonfly
