Mark 1 (Powers Build Question)

Hello! Another character of mine that I would like to try to write up is "Mark-1."

His main power is to essentially turn himself into a form of electricity, more like a communication signal than a lightning bolt, and then "beam" himself into any machine that uses electricity. He can the control that machine, be it a computer or whatever.

In the stories my friends and I have come up with, Mark-1 uses his talent with robotics to create various robot bodies that he then jumps into to go on missions with his team. He only takes one robot form to each mission, but can still jump out of it and take over other machines if need be, etc.

So, in translating him to Supers!, I thought of handling his main power like so:

Energy Form: 4D (does no damage, only used to inhabit machines, blocked by sufficient material interference)

Energy Control: 4D (only in energy form, only to control inhabited machine)

Teleport: 4D (only in energy form, only to machines, after 2D distance, machine must be already fitted with "Mark-1 Receiver" tech.)

And that's my first poke at modeling the "techno-takeover" power for this guy.

I already know that I will give him Super Brain and Super Science, which I have been giving out to a couple of techno-characters lately, but this time I will not ignore the fact that Super-Brain gives free dice in Academia and Technology!

I guess my other big question for this character is: how would I handle his variable mission-capable robot bodies?

I think that is a good approach. The complications/limitations on the powers make it equitable in terms of cost.

Regarding the various robot bodies, you might consider making it an Advantage, allowing a certain number of dice to be spent in flexible way, reflecting whichever robot form he chose for the scene. I've used a similar approach for super-vehicles, but there's nothing official as of yet.

Cool, thanks! I will think about building an Ad for the robo-bodies, that's an interesting approach.
