Supers! Listed as a system in search filters

Hey all, I think we need to make a priority of getting Supers! listed in the search filters on DriveThruRPG and RPGNow.

I was totally unaware of the number of available support material because there was no simple way to search for it.

I have no idea who would have to be talked to or what the criteria is, I'm just trying to get the ball rolling on this.

Thanks!

I will talk to the guys over at One Book Shelf and see what we can do about that.

Thank you very much for the heads up.

Walt

This would be GREAT! I actually made a pitch for this when The Freedom Ring came out, but didn't get a favorable response. Maybe now that more source material is coming out, and from multiple publishers, will make a difference.

All the best,

Which makes no sense to me. It's not like Freedom Ring was the first 3rd party release. There's like 10 Public Domain Supers! releases, plus 2 adventures. So there's at least a dozen releases, including the core book and Supervillains! vol 1. There's at least as many releases for Supers! as there is for BASH, so I don't get their reluctance to list it in the search.

Hey urbwar,

I know. I made those exact points, but to no avail. Maybe they didn't take me seriously because I'm not the games' actual author/publisher. I was told that many considerations went into deciding if you get listed in the filter, including how much your product makes, how many people are publishing for the title, etc. I'm hoping that all the new folks producing for it will make the difference.

I think back then it was only BBG, DM Studios, and B&E Games, with TGI the new kid who hadn't even moved into the block yet. Perhaps now that the number of companies producing for the game is about to be twice what it was at the time will make some sort of difference.

All the best,

Dragonfly

I think their reasons are utter bullshit. For instance, they list G-Core, which for the most part, is one person/company. Yes, there have been 2 3rd party releases for it, and yes, Jay has put out a lot of stuff for it. But I don't see how that rates a listing in the search, and Supers! does not. I know many of the supplements haven't sold that much, and Jay gives away a lot of comp copies of the rules to get people interested in the game. So it makes little sense to me that G-Core is listed in the search, but Supers! isn't.

Hell, I see systems in the search I've never even heard of, so again, makes no sense to me

I agree with you, of course. I'm just reporting what I was told. It didn't make much sense to me at the time. Anyway, I guess we'll see what happens when Walt and Andrew make another request.

Happy Thanksgiving!

All the best,

Dragonfly

I have several SUPERS! products ready to hit the site. We'll see what they say now that we stand UNITED against them...ahem... I mean now that SUPERS! is pushing it's way to the front. Sorry i got a little excited.
