Supers! Availability
What is up with Drivethru RPG and RPGnow? When I search for SUPERS! the game does not show up. When I click on my old link for the game, it states the game is no longer available. Has it gone out of print/pdf?

Re: Supers! Availability
Try this one:
Supers! RPG
You may have been linked to the old BBG version; it's now the property of Hazard Studio, so it got pulled, then reissued under their label.
Hope that works!

Re: Supers! Availability
Thanks for the link for RPGnow. What is up with Drivethrough? It is like they do not want to sell the game.

Re: Supers! Availability
Ask and you shall receive!
Supers
I had to type "Supers comic" before it pulled up on their search engine.

Re: Supers! Availability
Thanks, I had tried both 'Supers!' and 'Hazard' and the search couldn't find it.

The easiest way is to do a search under publisher for Hazard Studio.
However, i think this forum needs a sticky thread with the direct link to the pdf in it, seeing as how this comes every so often

Re: Supers! Availability
If you also go to the front page of HAZARD Stds web page (http://hazardstudio.net) you can get the page from there. I am talk with the boys from OBS to fix this.

Walt

Re: Supers! Availability
Hey guys, just picked up a Supers PDF copy ($5, how could I resist?)at RPGNow. After reading a thread over on theRPGSite about Supers it seemed like a nice change of pace super hero game. I tend to collect super hero RPGs anyway.
I started back in the day with V&V, then played Marvel Super Heroes, then found a copy of Worlds of Wonder from Chaosium and really liked that version of Superworld (along with designer notes and some house rules).
I've run several long campaigns with Superworld over the years, but admit it has always been low-level stuff. The Basic Role Playing game system tends to break with super hero power levels much past Spider Man.
I am still trying to wrap my brain around the dice pool system of Supers, but I really like the freedom the players seem to have in describing their actions in game.
I will take some time to read through some of the threads, decide what tweaks are needed, and then convince my players to try it. I may just convert over the characters they currently have and try a "one-shot" adventure. If it goes well, we might use Supers as our standard super hero RPG.

Re: Supers! Availability
Heya ORtrail, glad you've given it a shot! If you want to get a feel for how the game is played before taking it to your players, let me know, I'd be happy to run a pbp here for you and anyone else who's interested in trying it out (up to 3 players).
If you have any questions, complaints, or comments, please speak up! Supers is undergoing a revision as we speak and one of the goals is to clarrify some of the rules that don't make sense or are missing. The more input the better.

Re: Supers! Availability
Hey ORtrail!
I was one of the guys posting on theRPGsite about SUPERS!, so glad to see you here! :-)
As Dustland said, let us know if you have any questions. The game is very robust, but that might not be clear on first examination. The narrative aspects of the game take a little getting used to for some folks, but once you grok them, they provide a great deal of options.
All the best,
Dragonfly
